Well I checked all other applets like Klipper, clock, keyboard layout, the 
runaway process catcher, the new kmail tray. Everything shows correctly but 
the KSysGuard is just empty.

I tried running some of the applets with appletproxy but that didn't work and 
I couldn't find a way to start an applet with some kind of debug info.

If that matters after upgrading from 3.1 I couldn't start KDE in the normal 
way, X just dumped me into multi gnome terminal and I had to type

kdesktop &
kicker &
kwin &
