(I'm > heavily using knotes in combination with kpilot, so my Palm is flooded as > well by those strange notes.) I've also experienced the same bug with knotes after I upgraded KDE. I then tried to debug that problem to try to fix the problem. I therefor looked into .kde/share/apps/knotes. Trying to just remove the empty notes and changing notes.ics didn't solve the problem. But after looking more closely at notes.ics, I noticed that the format of the notes changed. So I copied notes.ics into an extra directory and removed all the empty entries. I then removed all files in .kde/share/apps/knotes. After that I started knotes again, recreated all my notes one by one with knotes. After that I stopped and restarted knotes various times and it seemed that the problem was fixed. Today when I logged into KDE, I didn't see lots of notes with "[Actions]" or "[Display]" entries, but only the ones I created. So I would suggest that method as a temporary measure to fix knotes. I think the upstream authors should really take a close look at the way knotes handles the upgrade of old notes, since it seems that something is broken there. -- Woe to the man whose heart has not learned while young to hope, to love - and to put its trust in life. -- Joseph Conrad
