Package: kdm Version: 4:3.1.5-2 Severity: normal Hey friends,
Just installed kdebase from unstable (first, because apt-get dist-upgrade tries to remove almost the whole system otherwise) and notice that kdm does not allow me to login anymore. Found out that /etc/pam.d/kdm refers to common-auth and friends in /etc/pam.d which were not there. Seems like a dependency to the right pam version would be appropriate or some debconf note on installation that it will break during upgrade (I did not change /etc/pam.d/kdm so it was overwritten with the new version silently.)
