(Almost) All kde applications send warning messages like "kdecore 
(KIconLoader): WARNING: Icon directory /usr/share/icons/hicolor/ group 
48x48/stock/text not valid." to stderr.
It's simply the sequence " group " which has to be removed from the path to get 
an valid one. However, I cannot see if there are icons missing, i.e. I con't 
see anything odd.

  this is already fixed (in KDE 3.3 in unstable *and* in kde 3.2 in
  sarge-proposed-updates, which will enter sarge proper soon).
