With the release of a backwards-compatible Xrender package, the problems have gotten a lot less bad. Rebuilds are a good idea but presumably not actually necessary now.
1. kdelibs needs its RC bugs fixed (Conflicts: and/or Replaces: for old k3b and arson, meinproc in kdelibs-bin) and needs to be rebuilt and reuploaded (priority high, I suggest!) 2. kdebase needs bug 214475 downgraded or closed, and version 3.1.4 built and uploaded. 3a. kdeutils needs version 3.1.4 built and uploaded. 3b. kdeadmin needs version 3.1.4 built and uploaded. 3c. kdeedu needs version 3.1.4 built and uploaded, preferably with kstars license fixes. [Ben Burton] 3d. kdegraphics needs version 3.1.4 built and uploaded. 3e. kdepim needs version 3.1.4 built and uploaded. 3f. kdenetwork needs two RC bugs dealt with, and version 3.1.4 built and uploaded. 3g. kdemultimedia needs version 3.1.4 built and uploaded -- after the glibc people fix bug #203303. 4. kdeaddons 3.1.4 needs to be built and uploaded after kdemultimedia is. 5. meta-kde 3.1.4 needs to be split into meta-kde and meta-kde-extra, and uploaded. Nearly all of these are Chris Cheney's packages. Chris, how's your health? Do you need help? If so, on what? The other transitions for sarge are clearing up pretty fast, so I'm starting to worry about the state of KDE.... -- Nathanael Nerode <neroden at gcc.gnu.org> http://home.twcny.rr.com/nerode/neroden/fdl.html
