I noticed, for some time now, that every time I turn my machine on, my .Xauthority gets overwritten giving me the following message when I ssh to another machine: Warning: No xauth data; using fake authentication data for X11 forwarding.
I have to copy back my backed up .Xauthority in order for ssh to work correctly. I use Sid, and root .Xauthority is linked to mine. Is there a way to prevent the overwrites?
