KDE gave me only en_US or de to choose from and in both cases running a KDE session did not give me the umlauts (üäöÄÖÜ) that I typed on the keyboard any more for certain programs such as xterm or konsole. openoffice.org, xev, kword all worked however. I wonder if this has something to do with #289143: kdm: does not source $HOME/.profile anymore I'm running xfree86 4.3 and friends from today's Debian unstable.
