I had some time investigate this problem: In the Clipboard applet of KDE there is a row after I copied a Number from KCalc to clipboard but the row does not contain content when I use edit function in the applet. If I copy something from a terminal-window there is content in the row of the Clipboard applet.
So a KDE bug since it doesn't involve LibreOffice here? Reassigning then. Reassignig to kcalc. (I don't know where the clipboard functionality is nor which package contains it. KDE people, reassign as appropriate.)
What other info do you need to investigate this prob?
