Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***
* What led up to the situation? Installing the package libreoffice-gtk3.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)? Uninstalling the package libreoffice-gtk3 seems to solve the
problem.
* What was the outcome of this action? Libreoffice looks really bad, but
performs well. Also installing libreoffice-qt5 the look doesn't change.
* What outcome did you expect instead?

Interesting. I'd have assumed LxQt used qt per default for LxQt.
Also after looking at
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/tree/vcl/unx/generic/desktopdetect/desktopdetector.cxx?h=libreoffice-7-0-4#n123
Then again
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/tree/vcl/source/app/salplug.cxx?h=libreoffice-7-0-4#n148
doesn't mention LxQT and/or qt5 at all.

I said that in my relply...
I said:
> You can set it though:

Which says:
"LibreOffice includes support for GTK and Qt theme integration. See also
Uniform look for Qt and GTK applications.
LibreOffice will try to autodetect the most suitable VCL UI interface
based on your desktop environment. To force the use of a certain VCL UI
interface, use one of the SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen, SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3,
or SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kf5 environment variables. These variables can be
uncommented in /etc/profile.d/libreoffice-fresh.sh or
/etc/profile.d/libreoffice-still.sh. See vcl/README.md for more
information."
-> export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN="qt5".
Or here, maybe better:
export OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP="lxqt"
(which might or might not change something.)
By using backports everything seems to work fine also with
libreoffice-gtk3,
OK, so it is fixed in 7.4.1?
Marking as such. (Closing, but the bug will stay as still affecting
bullseye.)
Regards,
Rene
