Additional commentary, as I've just run into this issue. In my case, I tried to open multiple libreoffice instances in a single login session on a single X display, but it's a multi-screen display. Attempting to bring up libreoffice instances on different screens doesn't work: the later invocations just bring up more windows on the screen that contains the original instance. This seriously impacts usability.
That's really just the icing on the cake. libreoffice suffers much of the annoying behaviour that I previously noted for Iceweasel in Bug#617362. The second libreoffice invocation terminates immediately instead of waiting for editing of the second file to be finished. Selecting "Exit" or performing X client termination on one window closes both. (At least some settings are per-window, though.) Unlike Iceweasel, libreoffice doesn't seem to even offer an option to control this behaviour. -zefram -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-openoffice-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
