Package: openoffice.org-writer
Version: 1:3.1.1-16
Justification: renders package unusable
Severity: grave
*** Please type your report below this line ***
After lest upgrade (25.02 or 26.02) OpenOffice stopped to work on all my
systems.
When I try to run e.g. the oowriter, it displays the empty "OpenOffice.org
Document Recovery" window, and after I press "OK" it terminates.
In the console the following message is displayed:
terminate called after throwing an instance of
'com::sun::star::deployment::DeploymentException'
I've removed all OO-related directories from the home directory - It
didn't help.
The same happens to oocalc.

Only when you didn't read.

Obviously you didn't follow the debconf notice which should have been shown
to you.
Do.
For refereence:
_Description: Component registries might be corrupted
You are upgrading from a version which might have corrupted
service/component registry files (*.rdb), especially
/var/lib/openoffice/basis3.1/program/services.rdb and the rdb files
in /var/spool/openoffice/uno_packages/cache for installed extensions.
.
If you experience problems with the component manager or segmentation faults
involving libstore in either unopkg or OpenOffice.org, please check these
files. Try cleanly reinstalling the packages and/or using a clean user
profile.
Even if you removed your home dir stuff (as you said), the message there
doesn't speak about /var/spool/openoffice/uno_packages for no reason.
Reopen if it still happens after those files are sane (which I doubt will
happen then)
Grüße/Regards,
René
