Something like: If you want to open documents created with M$ Word, you may need to install the non-free fonts from M$ (ttf-mscorefonts-installer). Note that if some fonts are missing, OpenOffice won't tell you and the document may not appear as designed by its author. > My personal opinion is that people who need the M$ fonts should just > install them. But the main problem is that people are not necessarily aware that they need M$ fonts: the documents may look wrong, but there's no indication from OpenOffice of the cause of the problem. Silently replacing a font by another is really really bad. -- Vincent Lefèvre <vinc...@vinc17.net> - Web: <http://www.vinc17.net/> 100% accessible validated (X)HTML - Blog: <http://www.vinc17.net/blog/> Work: CR INRIA - computer arithmetic / Arénaire project (LIP, ENS-Lyon) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-openoffice-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
