You have a *directory* as basis-link? That explains why it doesn't find the libs because OOo does rely on basis-link (and ure-link) to be there and pointing to the right direction... Now to find out why that doesn't work, openoffice.org-common has it as a symlink, and every extension does '-env:UNO_JAVA_JFW_INSTALL_DATA=file:///usr/lib/openoffice/basis-link/share/config/javasettingsunopkginstall.xml' but I'd be surprised if it created the dir itself.... Hmm. > is not deleted and it contains the file > /usr/lib/openoffice/basis-link/share/config/javasettingsunopkginstall.xml That this file exists is normal, but it should be in /var/lib/openoffice/basisX.Y/share/config/javasettingsunopkginstall.xml - and what you mentioned normally is a symlink to there... > As a third class DD I don't know which program created that file and > left it there orfaned after purging all OO packages, but I'm sure you > know, please close this bug or reassing it to the offending package. Every extension install does (and OOo itself has it in openoffice.org-common: # dpkg -L openoffice.org-common | grep unopkg /usr/bin/unopkg /usr/lib/openoffice/program/unopkg /usr/share/man/man1/unopkg.1.gz /var/lib/openoffice/basis3.1/share/config/javasettingsunopkginstall.xml /usr/lib/openoffice/basis3.1/share/config/javasettingsunopkginstall.xml ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ symlink to /var > After deleting/moving that directory and re-installing openoffice.org > packages everything works as expected.
