Version: 1:2.4.1-8
not only accented chars can be displayed wrongly, but all chars upper
than 127 ASCII can have this problem. Chars affected by this problem
seem to be random.
This problem seem to be a Debian problem. I have test it under
OpenOffice.org 3.0 Sun and I was unable to reproduce this bug.
If you select the chars with this problem and transform they in bold,
than you see the right chars; if you toggle the bold, than you have
again the problem.
How to reproduce this bug with copy and paste:
1) open this WEB site:
http://tinyurl.com/4tp4vk
Note: in that page there are strange chars for apostrophes (')
2) select all (Ctrl-A)
3) copy (Ctrl-C)
4) open OOoWriter
5) paste as unformatted text (probably you can have the bug also if you
use normal paste)
Edit -> Paste special -> unformatted text
6) now try to write some chars upper than 127 ASCII, for example:
òàùèéìÒÀÙÈÉÌ
you can easly fond keys (if your keybords have key with chars upper than
127 ASCII) where the chars on video is different than the chars on keys
You can solve this problem closing all OOo document and than reopen OOo.
Note: if you try more time you can get different results (different keys
print wrong chars and wrong chars can be different).
