[you sent HTML, and my mail client responded accordingly]
I used the * to check for all possible files, because the JRE should be
system-wide, and not for a single user, or am I mistaken there?
Anyway, I deleted the xml file as you suggested, and it generated a new
one, which seems to work fine. I noticed that the newly generated xml
shows now a different version of the JRE, meaning that during the last
upgrade (to OO 2.4), the xml was not updated, which I consider a true bug.
Thanks for the help!

Yes, I went into Options and have set it there.
Where am I supposed to find *openoffice.org2? My computer doesn't have it.
Your home directory.
And I said . - not *
(btw, before you ask that too, the file is in the user/config
subdirectory there)
