Severity: important
why? I'd more think it's normal. Easy workaround and you can just remove
the piece too much pasted..
you can miss the duplicate ... and you have this bug not in all select
and paste operations.
In all GNU/Linux applications you can use select and paste and you
expected only one result ... who check if the paste operation is done
all well?
Ok the workaround is easy ... but the select and paste operation is an
action that a person do as automation operation. It is the preferred
operation used to make a copy of a text in a GNU/Linux environment
To reproduce the bug:
I can't.
you don't have done what I have wrote
0) Open a OOoWriter document
1) Write two lines
for example:
abcd
1234
Done.
2) select from first line to the second line start (include carriage
return but not the first character)
In the example select: abcd\n
Done. (Ctrl-C)
wrong
I have write select not copy
I got the second one - but indeed, if using the mouse (tried it also
on my main machine - amd64) it gets pasted
twice...
I use a lot of select and paste (not copy and paste) so I can miss the
double paste.
I think that a GNU/Linux user prefer to use "select and paste" and not
"copy and paste"
Ciao
Davide
