I have installed openoffice.org with the german language pack, but I
have an US international keyboard. For the german umlauts, I use the
following key combination:
First: "
Then: [aou]
(pressing the " does nothing, until [aou] is pressed).
This works in all applications except OpenOffice.org.
I know it worked in version 2.0 and probably in 2.1, but it does not
work any more in 2.2
