More precisely, what I'm seeing (on a single-core i686) is: - The first launch of OOo works as expected; the splash screen disappears when the program comes up.
- When I launch OOo again to load another document, the normal behavior should be that the document is loaded by the existing instance of OOo, without another splash screen. However, a splash screen appears while the document is loaded into the existing instance of OOo, and stays up, fully charging my CPU until killed.
