Version 3.1.0-1 of the suitesparse package has been uploaded to experimental (as in SVN r2091). Since the new binary package libsuitesparse-3.1.0 with a versioned name was introduced, the package have to go through the NEW queue.
For those wishing to test the package without having to check out from SVN, I put it at an apt-getable repository [1].
