Is any java-related stuff working? For example:
Tools-Options-OOo-Java - what happens in there - can you select
different java/gcj - try using each one.
I've tested with "Sun Microsystems Inc. 1.4.2_10" and with "Sun
Microsystems
Inc. 1.5.0_06".
File-Wizards - any of these working?
Yes, with both java versions.
$ OOo/program/javaldx - any output?
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/javaldx
/usr/lib/j2se/1.4/jre/lib/i386/client:/usr/lib/j2se/1.4/jre/lib/
i386/native_threads:/usr/lib/j2se/1.4/jre/lib/i386
Where is your jdk located? What was the configuration command - look
in config_office/config.parms
The jdk:
/usr/lib/j2se/1.4
From ./build/ooe680-m6/config_office/config.parms:
--with-jdk-home=/usr/lib/j2se/1.4
Any messages in config_office/config.log ?
I found this PATH in the config.log:
PATH: /usr/lib/jvm/java-gcj/bin
That looks odd as you are not using gcj. Does this path exist in your
system? But possibly not relevant since the java parts seem to be
working OK.
Is java needed for the macro security settings?
I dont know - but it appears you are building a debian package with a
non-debian java so it I thought it is useful to eliminate that as a
factor in your problems. The best action is follow the suggestion
posted by Rene earlier in this thread, while I was writing mine ;)
