Hi,
Sound and movies are only missing from the debian-packaged version of
openoffice. If you convert through alien the RPMS from openoffice.org, it
runs ok if your java installation (you need java 1.5 from Sun) is fine (you
need the Java multimedia framework running JMF, some of which by the way does
not run with java 1.5, so you should also have the 1.4 from blackdown
available).
I guess there were dependencies on the non-free java from Sun.
