Package: openoffice.org Version: 2.0.1-2 Severity: normal
When OpenOffice is displayed on Apple's Xquartz X server (remote X), it exhibits the following bizzare behaviours: 1. If the window is maximized, the menu bar is displayed on the windows' title bar. This means that a. The menu bar may not be visible, because the title bar would obscure it b. Mousing over the title bar would reveal the menu bar, one menu at a time. If moused over the "File" menu, the close button etc will disappear because the "File" menu would obscure them 2. If the window is unmaximized, the menu bar is displayed somewhere outside the drawable area, resulting in some icons (buttons) in the window's title bar. a. These icons (buttons), instead of the menu bar, then exhibit the above- mentioned bizzare behaviours. b. The menu bar is also completely inaccessible because it is way up beyond the window's drawable area, above the title bar. The above observations seem to indicate that OpenOffice, when run on Xquartz, somehow thinks that the window is anchored at the top-left corner of the screen (i.e., at the top-left curved corner in the Apple UI's menu bar). Apparently it does not know where the window's true coordinates are at. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.4.28-ow1 Locale: LANG=zh_TW.Big5, LC_CTYPE=zh_TW.Big5 (charmap=BIG5) Versions of packages openoffice.org depends on: ii openoffice.org-base 2.0.1-2 OpenOffice.org office suite - data ii openoffice.org-calc 2.0.1-2 OpenOffice.org office suite - spre ii openoffice.org-core 2.0.1-2 OpenOffice.org office suite archit ii openoffice.org-draw 2.0.1-2 OpenOffice.org office suite - draw ii openoffice.org-impress 2.0.1-2 OpenOffice.org office suite - pres ii openoffice.org-java-common 2.0.1-2 OpenOffice.org office suite Java s ii openoffice.org-math 2.0.1-2 OpenOffice.org office suite - equa ii openoffice.org-writer 2.0.1-2 OpenOffice.org office suite - word openoffice.org recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
