I am desperately in need of a Sarge backport of OOo2. I have started tinkering around with building it based on the infrastructure put in place by by version 2.0.0-2.
I was receiving a "no such file" error for hunspell-1.0.8.tar.gz (or something like that), which I was able to circumvent by simply disabling hunspell altogether. However, I have now encountered this error: -----8<----->8----- LD_LIBRARY_PATH=../common:../i18n:../tools/toolutil:../layout:../layoutex:../extra/ustdio:../tools/ctestfw:../data:../stubdata/:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH ../tools/pkgdata/pkgdata -O ../data/icupkg.inc -d /home/roberto/tmp/debian/openoffice.org/openoffice.org-2.0.0/ooo-build/build/ooo680-m3/icu/unxlngi4.pro/misc/build/icu/source/data/out -e icudt26 -T ../data/out/build -p icudata -m dll -r 26.0 ../data/out/build/icudata.lst Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-minimal.c: 137: realloc: Assertion `new == ptr' failed! make[3]: *** [packagedata] Error 127 make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/roberto/tmp/debian/openoffice.org/openoffice.org-2.0.0/ooo-build/build/ooo680-m3/icu/unxlngi4.pro/misc/build/icu/source/data' make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 2 make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/roberto/tmp/debian/openoffice.org/openoffice.org-2.0.0/ooo-build/build/ooo680-m3/icu/unxlngi4.pro/misc/build/icu/source' dmake: Error code 2, while making './unxlngi4.pro/misc/build/so_built_so_icu' '---* tg_merge.mk *---' ERROR: Error 65280 occurred while making /home/roberto/tmp/debian/openoffice.org/openoffice.org-2.0.0/ooo-build/build/ooo680-m3/icu make[1]: *** [stamp/build] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/roberto/tmp/debian/openoffice.org/openoffice.org-2.0.0/ooo-build' make: *** [debian/stampdir/build] Error 2 -----8<----->8----- Google is no help at all as all the hits appear to be related to some cross-compilation issue. If someone could shed some light on what is happenning here and how to fix it, I would really appreciate it. Incidentally, I am using the Sun 1.4.2 JDK in the build. -Roberto -- Roberto C.
