Package: openoffice.org Version: 1.1.3-3 Severity: normal
With libc6-i686 OOo doesn't want to start. It segfaults. I've used OOO_DEBUG, but it appears that the stack is corrupt and it shows only one frame at 0. Using 'export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1' to disable NPTL makes it work again. I've also added the libc6-i686 information below. Oh, and I'm running on a self-compiled 2.6.10-rc2. Perhaps it would be good to add the export to one of the scripts used to start OOo. Of course, other options exist. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.10-rc2 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages openoffice.org depends on: ii dictionaries-common [openo 0.22.40sarge7 Common utilities for spelling dict ii openoffice.org-bin 1.1.3-3 OpenOffice.org office suite binary ii openoffice.org-debian-file 1.1.3-3+1 Debian specific parts of OpenOffic ii openoffice.org-l10n-en [op 1.1.3-3 English (US) language package for ii openoffice.org-l10n-nl [op 1.1.3-3 Dutch language package for OpenOff ii openoffice.org-l10n-ru [op 1.1.3-3 Russian language package for OpenO ii ttf-opensymbol 1.1.2dfsg1-3 The OpenSymbol TrueType font Versions of packages libc6-i686 depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-19 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an -- no debconf information
