There's an error in the postinst script:
Setting up openoffice.org (1.1.3-2) ... /var/lib/dpkg/info/openoffice.org.postinst: line 46: update_desktop_database: command not found dpkg: error processing openoffice.org (--install): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 127 E Those should be hyphens, I think.
