This problem happened on two different machines, both running KDE 3.3 under sid. Reinstalling gsfonts-x11 fixes the problem. Sorry not to be able to tell more about the problem, but I am not very awar= e=20 of fonts configuration under Debian. Hope somebody can find out what causes this problem.
