Hi!
I am still getting crashes on Openoffice's startup, (in what appears to
me) very similar to those already mentioned in this list [1]. I run sid,
up-to-date (i.e., 1.1.2-3).
Since it is clearly non-reproducible, I don't want to file yet
another bug, to be dismissed soon, but instead to try to find how to fix it.
I have two computers running more or less the same configuration. One
fails, the other one runs fine. The only difference may be that the former was
woody in the past, upgraded to sid, while the latter got updated from sarge (D-I
beta 4 or something like that).
.sversionrc was pointing to the wrong location. But moving the
.sversionrc and .openoffice directories for the system to create new ones didn't
helped.
May it be related to a problem with ttfs as has been reported by some
other bugs in some other distros? (like [2]). However, installing exactly the
same font packages in the working system didn't stopped it from working, while
the one failing continued to fail.
More surprisingly, openoffice refuses to start an undetermined number of
times, after which it starts without any failure at all. I have suffered from 2
failures to boot up to 8-10 failures. If OO is closed and restarted, it may work
at the first try. If the computer is rebooted, the cycle starts again.
Please, let me know how may I help providing information to solve this
issue. I attach the error logged when invoked from command line. I could also
provide both the "original" and newly created .sversionrc and .openoffice
directories or any other information you request.

[1] OO's splash screen shows up, but instead of the program window you get
a window with a "unrecoverable error" message.
