I could work with this amount of badness. It is very hard to explain to somebody that Windows OOo has Python support and Debian doesn't. And having python where java is missing from OOo could get rid of some of the restrictions on debian: I could write my own xslt transforms in python for example :-) Maybe I can help out, what is the current problem? I must admit that I did not check the wishlist part very thorougly (this bug is a showstopper for me) and only searched for python when I should have searched for pyuno.
