Package: openoffice.org Version: 1.1.1-4 Severity: important open office doesn't start if the cups server from /etc/cups/client.conf is not available (for example if you are with a notebook in another network). The openening screen appears and the progressbar seems to be at 100% but then nothing happens.
This doesn't occur if the network is down. --- Entry in /etc/cups/client.conf: ServerName 192.168.23.42 --- strace says: read(23, "#\n# \"$Id: client.conf,v 1.7 2003"..., 4096) = 2328 close(23) = 0 munmap(0x42bcb000, 4096) = 0 rt_sigaction(SIGPIPE, {SIG_IGN}, NULL, 8) = 0 time(NULL) = 1090095395 socket(PF_INET, SOCK_STREAM, IPPROTO_IP) = 23 fcntl64(23, F_SETFD, FD_CLOEXEC) = 0 setsockopt(23, SOL_SOCKET, SO_REUSEADDR, [1], 4) = 0 setsockopt(23, SOL_TCP, TCP_NODELAY, [1], 4) = 0 connect(23, {sa_family=AF_INET, sin_port=htons(631), sin_addr=inet_addr("192.168.23.42")}, 16 -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.26 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (ignored: LC_ALL set to [EMAIL PROTECTED]) Versions of packages openoffice.org depends on: ii dictionaries-common [openoffi 0.22.28 Common utilities for spelling dict ii openoffice.org-bin 1.1.1-4 OpenOffice.org office suite binary ii openoffice.org-debian-files 1.1.1-2+3 Debian specific parts of OpenOffic ii openoffice.org-l10n-de [openo 1.1.1-4 German language package for openof ii openoffice.org-l10n-en [openo 1.1.1-4 English (US) language package for -- no debconf information
