Hi, I'm hit by this as well, when I want to cut'n'paste my HTML resume into a Text document (http://ydirson.free.fr/fr/cv/yann.html): I have to use several combinations of select and cut'n'paste.
I note that upstream considers this not a bug that Ctrl-A only selects a table. But there are still several issues: 1. in "Edit" menu, the entry is named "Select All". If this is not supposed to select all of the document, the menu entry should be renamed, since it is highly couter-intuitive: no user has ever guessed this could mean "Select all of the nearest table" or whatever. Depending on where I am in the document, it selects either the content of the current cell it the pointer is in one, or the content of the 1st cell of that table-at-the-top-of-the-doc if I am not in a table. This really sounds like upstream did not fully understand the issue. 2. there is a need for a "Select the whole document" feature anyway 3. this table at the start of the document can still not be destroyed, and I think _this_ was the core of the issue submitted to the debian BTS HTH, -- Yann Dirson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | Why make M$-Bill richer & richer ?
