Package: openoffice.org
Version: 1.1.0+1.1.1rc3-1
Severity: normal

All openoffice programs are extremely slow the first time you start it
after installing a large amount of true type fonts:

I installed some 1000 truetype fonts in /usr/local/share/fonts/truetype
and started oodraw and nothing seems to happen.
Only after a couple of minutes (>5) the splash screen appeared.
The next time I started oodraw, the splash screen appeared after a few
seconds.

It seems to me openoffice is reading/checking/caching/whatever the newly
installed fonts. Which is not the problem, but there is no indication
what so ever oodraw is really running and busy doing something.
A message would be nice telling openoffice is reading the fonts...

The same problem appears with 1.1.1.
(after installing the fonts I thought oodraw doesn't run anymore so I
tried another version, all with the same problem)
