Hi, Is there a good reason why each time setup is run some entries are added at the begining of the user ~/.mailcap file? This happen when openoffice is run for the first time AND when the configuration is upgraded because a new version has been installed.
The openoffice.org-debian-files package provides much better mailcap entries in a much better way. When I remotely read my emails with mutt, I appreciate being able to have a quick idea of what's inside MS Word documents. The wv package provides good mailcap entries for this. The ~/.mailcap entries created by the openoffice setup lacks the 'test=test " $DISPLAY" != ""' field and therefore it breaks everything. Moreover, if you've been using the debian openoffice packages for some time, look at your ~/.mailcap file and you'll see how ugly it is. I have an example here with 185 lines full of openoffice entries. If you happen to force a new installation by removing ~/.sversionrc and ~/.openoffice, then you'll get new lines in your ~/.mailcap even if the good entries were already there. Regards, Lucien.
