I wouldn't call it a good reason.. just a 'not got round to doing the job yet' reason :) > but is there any suggested workaround? Use the vanilla .tar.gz install from openoffice.org. This still doesn't let you use pyuno with the rest of your installed Python - it installs its own separate Python 2.2 installation, I'm afraid. Chris
