> it's not easy to include it since it need to be built against the > system's python which isn't trivial. Debian migrated to Python 2.3 some times ago. The act of building uses system libraries and utilities. what's the problem? > And then it would be an extra package pythonX.Y-pyuno after all... Sure, no depedency forced but pythonists could use it to manipulate OOo files (like converting). > And it is not a _normal bug_, it's a _wish_ -> wishlist. As for me, it's a bug in the way that Debian's OOo has less features than the upstream one. I know the BTS has no such a feature but I vote for this bug. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.2-1-k7 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] Versions of packages openoffice.org depends on: ii debianutils 2.6.2 Miscellaneous utilities specific t ii dictionaries-common 0.20.1 Common utilities for spelling dict ii openoffice.org-bin 1.1.0-5 OpenOffice.org office suite binary ii openoffice.org-debian-files 1.1.0-5+1 Debian specific parts of OpenOffic ii openoffice.org-l10n-en [openo 1.1.0-5 English (US) language package for ii openoffice.org-l10n-fr [openo 1.1.0-5 French language package for openof -- no debconf information
