I've never really cared about the autocompletion features, but I have always observed this behaviour and hadn't noticed that OOo could save the list. I suggest you try looking through the archives of the upstream users@openoffice.org list, or looking through the online help to see if there is maybe a way in which this behaviour is configured. I think the language setting of the text may have some effect too. Chris
