Today I installed the Debian OpenOffice package 1.1.0-3 (and later 1.1.0-5).
Unfortunately, in both of these packages I found some serious (for me)
font problems.
- Symbol font in Impress does not show on the screen, so none of my
greek letters show. It is odd because it is only on the screen that it
doesn't show up. When I print the document, all of the greek letters
print just fine.
- Courier font shows as italic even though italic is not selected.
- Italic times fonts show as non-italic.
I know I have seen some past posts about the symbol fonts being invisible
(back last October and earlier this month), but I haven't seen any replies
that actually suggest any of this is fixed. Doing a font replacement in
OpenOffice doesn't seem to help either.
