Package: openoffice.org Version: 1.1.0-1 Severity: important When I run the openoffice impress application under KDE 3.1 in sid, the fullscreen slide show mode initially seems to work. However, if the slide show rests long enough (e.g. 1 min) on one slide, it is no longer possible to affect the application using any input events (mouse, keyboard). That is, one is stuck at that slide and can't go forward or backward in the presentation, and it is not possible to leave slide show mode.
The mouse pointer still follows mouse movements, so I assume that the X server has not crashed. Rather, it is as if focus has been lost so that the application no longer receives any input events. It *is* possible to ctrl+alt+F<n> to the console. I'm not aware of any other aspect of my system which is not working with regard to input focus, and my KDE setup is pretty basic with no strange apps running in the background and potentially influencing input focus (although I do use the hotkeys package for supporting the multimedia buttons on my laptop). Unfortunately, this bug makes it impossible to use impress in my presentations. I'd very much like to have an alternative to Microsoft Powerpoint... -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux witch 2.4.21-rc1 #13 Thu Oct 23 18:10:28 EDT 2003 i686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C Versions of packages openoffice.org depends on: ii dictionaries-common 0.15.5 Common utilities for spelling dict ii openoffice.org-bin 1.1.0-1 OpenOffice.org office suite binary ii openoffice.org-debian-files 1.1.0-1+2 Debian specific parts of OpenOffic ii openoffice.org-l10n-en [openo 1.1.0-1 English (US) language package for ii openoffice.org-l10n-sv [openo 1.1.0-1 Swedish language package for openo -- no debconf information
