I guess no-one tried to use OOo with AFS yet.. I don't have any AFS filesystems to reproduce this on. Maybe you can provide enough information by giving me a couple of strace logs. Can you create a new document, and place copies of it on your local filesystem and on the AFS filesystem, and then capture the output of these commands: OOO_DEBUG="strace -f openoffice.log" openoffice path/to/document [close OOo down again] OOO_DEBUG="strace -f openoffice.AFS.log" openoffice /afs/path/to/document That should give us fairly identical logs, which we can use to find the difference in behaviour. Please send me openoffice.log and openoffice.AFS.log directly, and I'll summarise my findings to the bug report. > Should you close this and I refile a new, corrected bug?
