According to the bug report log, the missing UI fonts were considered to be restored and the problem resolved as of openoffice.org 1.0.1-7. But I'm running version 1.0.2, in unstable, and the UI fonts are gone-- no characters appear in the UI. Document fonts are intact. Unfortunately my installation is a mix of stable, testing, and unstable. Hi Andrew, sorry for leaving this report untouched for so long. 1.1.0 uses fontconfig and has many font bugfixes. There are no known problems with missing UI fonts any more; please reopen if you can reproduce this in any way using 1.1.0.
