Package: openoffice.org-debian-files Version: 1.0.99+1.1rc3-1 Severity: normal
Upgrading from previous version (1.0.99+1.1rc1-1, if i'm right) i can't get the binaries to be automatically prelinked, not i can resolve purging and reinstalling the openoffice.org packages. The problem is that /usr/bin/oooprelink checks for /etc/openoffice/settings.debconf and call prelink only if it contains prelink=true. However /usr/share/openoffice.org-debian-files/hooks/postinst.d/prelink doesn't create /etc/openoffice/settings.debconf (it only modifies it if it already exists), so i need to do #echo 'prelink=true' > /etc/openoffice/settings.debconf to actually perform the prelink on dpkg-reconfigure openoffice.org-bin. Well it's ok to manually create the file, however reading the debconf template i thought i was supposed to do nothing. So please modify the hook script or clearly state the file should be created by hand. Moreover: king:/# dpkg-reconfigure openoffice.org-bin Prelinking OpenOffice.org binaries... /usr/sbin/prelink: /usr/lib/openoffice/program/msgbox-gnome: Not enough room to add .dynamic entry done. [...] I know nothing about prelinking (well, neither about linking) so i've reported that message just for your information (don't know if it's system dependant, if it's supposed to work so, if it's a problem regarding prelink or openoffice.org-bin, ...). Obviously feel free to not consider the second part of this message.
