I checked the /etc/openoffice/dictionary.lst and it has entries. I have found other language spell check packages for this version of OpenOffice.org: openoffice.org-spellcheck-de-at openoffice.org-spellcheck-de-ch openoffice.org-spellcheck-de-de openoffice.org-spellcheck-es But no english version. :( Now I have to downgrade...
