Package: openoffice.org-bin Version: 1.0.99+1.1rc-1 Severity: minor The Debconf question about prelinking simply says that if you prelink the program will start up faster without mentioning any downsides but then defaults to "No". This is a bit confusing - the assumption given the description would be that this is something that everyone would want to do.
The description ought to at least say why you might want to choose "No". It may also be good to change the default or even just do prelinking and remove the question entirely. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux shenandoah 2.4.21-2-k7 #1 Sat Jul 5 03:47:02 EST 2003 i686 Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB Versions of packages openoffice.org-bin depends on: ii debconf 1.3.8 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.3.2-2 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libfreetype6 2.1.4-4 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgcc1 1:3.3.2-0pre1 GCC support library ii libstdc++3 1:3.0.4-16 The GNU stdc++ library version 3 ii libstdc++5 1:3.3.2-0pre1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libxaw7 4.2.1-9 X Athena widget set library ii openoffice.org 1.0.99+1.1rc-1 high-quality office productivity s ii xlibs 4.2.1-9 X Window System client libraries -- debconf information: * openoffice.org-bin/prelink: true
