Hi, the build is sucessful from 1.1beta2 using sparc linux with gcc-3.2.2 so i suppose the problems with linking sw were from using gcc-3.3.
some new errors emerged in building pyuno and sc/filter/lotus but for now i just bypass those. the setup has run and soffice is working OK on sparc linux so i am happy for now. thanks everyone for your help, jim
