Package: openoffice.org Version: 1.0.1-7 Severity: important I start ooimpress on the command line and after clicking several times to accept the default options I have a blank presentation with a title on top. As title I want to enter "This is a very long title which should spawn more than one line". As soon as the title starts a new line impress crashes with the following error: /usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice.bin: relocation error: /usr/lib/openoffice/program/libsvx641lp.so: symbol _ZNK27SvxForbiddenCharactersTable22GetForbiddenCharactersEth, version UDK_3_0_0 not defined in file libsal.so.3 with link time reference
On a x86 system I could not reproduce the bug, but it is manifest on a PowerBook G3 Pismo and PowerMac G3 b/w. It was my wife's first contact with OpenOffice, after I finally succeded in giving it a try, whether she should switch from ClarisWorks to OO. (And I didn't want her to invest time in PowerPoint.) But fortunatly OO writer handles the korean (at least in the first impression) as good as ClarisWorks and better than MicroSoft Word. But she wasn't very impressed about the much praised stability of the Free Software. Thanks you a lot for your great work.
