Package: openoffice.org Version: 1.0.1-7 Severity: normal
The OOo splash window is extremely bothersome, annoying and irritating because : It can't be moved (if it is in the way). No window can be brought above it (suppose I want to read an xterm that is (partially) covered by the splash window). It appears on all workspaces simultaneously, with the above problems. The splash window shouldn't assume it is the most important thing to display on my screen. Control over where windows are located and which is on top belongs to the user. -- System Information Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux dman 2.4.19-custom.4 #1 Tue Dec 3 00:15:51 EST 2002 i686 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 Versions of packages openoffice.org depends on: ii openoffice.org-bin 1.0.1-7 OpenOffice.org office suite binary ii openoffice.org-debian-files 1.0.1-6+3 Debian specific parts of OpenOffic ii openoffice.org-l10n-en 1.0.1-7 English (US) language package for
