Hi,
I failed to organize MySQL datasource on OpenOffice calc when
I tried to connect ooCalc to MySQL database locally with ODBC.
After I choose a datasouce then clicking management button, an
error message appears "Could not load the program library
libodbcinst.so or it is ocrrupted. The ODBC data source
configuration is not available. ". However, the datasource
organizing panel was successfully appeared with knoda.
A bug with similar symptom on ooCalc have been reported
previously in:
http://dba.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?listName=issues&msgNo=10103.
I always confirmed this failure on my three sarge PCs, but
no apparent failure was found on MySQL Administrator and ODBCConfig.
Therefore I conclued that this failure owe to ooCalc itself.
System:
Debian sarge on i386 architecture with kdm + KDE
