Happened to me as well (Win XP SP2, OOo1.1.4). Problem was OOo config
file became corrupt after system freeze/reset. This config file is stored in the
user's registry:


<OOo install dir>\user\registry\data\org\openoffice\Office\Common.xcu

Exit OOo and OOo quickstarter, then delete the file. It will automatically be recreated
when you restart OOo.
