Hi, If you want to establish your repo as a new upstream you should keep the author attribution for https://github.com/Project-OSS-Revival/ssmtp/commit/71590f6aaa3e116894ec842d35271cd56ca86b3c and for https://github.com/Project-OSS-Revival/ssmtp/commit/ecff04196312dbdd9bc6305fafe03d3e7c44a90b
Hint: You should use git commit --author "..." --date="..." to properly import the patches if git am does not work. I have commented on two of your salsa commits but please apply them to the new upstream repo. You shoud rebase instead of trying to revert the changes. Please open a bug on ssmtp where you propose changing the upstream. With a new package submission you have to close the bug via changelog. Keep the Vcs fields untouched. As soon as you got your package version in I am going to give you access to the salsa repo. For now, please propose cahnges via MR. You should never touch upstream files with commits in the master branch but import a new upstream version to the upstream branch, as was done before (via gbp). Thanks, Bastian
