Thanks for feedback. Oddly enough I have this behavior in two user accounts. The second one being a relatively new one which only exists since about half a year. I still have made out no pattern. I think I will research whether someone else found it or something reported an issue. But at the moment I do not even know how to report an issue myself that actually would be actionable. On the other hand that issue can be really annoying. One thing in common between these two users: I have Nextcloud and Git extensions of Dolphin enabled. However I would doubt that any of these interfere with simple file renames… unless… well Dolphin could notifiy the Nextcloud or Git extension about it. Best -- Martin - please no carbon copy to me
