Greetings. One of the more annoying issues I still have with Plasma 6.5 under Wayland is:
Sometimes, especially when switching back from another user's session to this session, Plasma / KWin thinks the external screen is the primary display. However I set the laptop screen to primary display. And I want Plasma to stick to that. It does not happen all of the time and I did not yet find out a pattern on when it does so. Sometimes even the laptop screen is black after switching back to the session until I restart Plasma. This is really puzzling me cause there is no reason why the laptop display would ever go away. I usually notice that it switched primary display over when the applets are gone some the laptop screen. I then set the laptop screen to primary again. This restores my usual setup until the issue happens again. With Plasma on X11 I sometimes had it that Plasma lost connection with external display. For example when I moved the laptop around a bit. So I suspect it may be better to look out for a better quality HDMI cable. Or maybe use a HDMI to DisplayPort cable to connect with the external display. However I would like to know if anyone else encountered this or a similar issue. This is with Plasma up to 6.5.3 with AMDGPU driver using integrated Radeon 780M graphics with self-compiled Linux kernel 6.17.9 on a ThinkPad T14 AMD Gen 5.
